I have read so many posts with tips for mirrors in the kitchen. For those of us who aren't blessed with a sunny window at the sink, the mirror is a good alternative. After much thought about this, I decided to move a mirror that I had in my bedroom that was a thrift store find. I was not sure if I would like to have it there and see myself while I was doing the dishes, but I do love the look and the illusion of a window. It really opened up the room.

I am working on another "cowl" and am excited about some fun dollar finds at Michaels. One of the best stores ever. Happy Wednesday!

This weekend's fun

I finished this on Friday and couldn't wait to wear it. I think it is called a cowl. Love it!

I made this for my friend's baby shower. She is having a boy after 3 girls. Isaac will have one cute blue and brown room to come home to soon!!! Can't wait to meet him!

Good weekend.

Clip/Chalk boards

I wish I would have taken more before pictures. But here are the clip/chalk boards I made for my kiddos. I used wall paper books from Lowes that they give away when they are expired prints, ribbon and my trusty hot glue gun. I bought a can of chalk board paint at walmart. It was so fun and simple. I think they turned out pretty cute.

The pictures for some reason seem to be discolored in some spots. But you get the idea.

What are you crafting? I would love to see it.

I love you Goodwill!

Here's my loot from today's Goodwill rummage.
This is a pretty pillow case with a great ruffle. I will find a place that is perfect for this.
I love finding vintage table coverings and hankies. These were precious.
This is a great sweater. Love the ribbed sides.
And look at this scarf! Don't you just love the flower! I love scarves. I love making them and buying cute ones like this. I quite possibly have a new obsession.

There you are a peek into my new things. The best part, all for $14.94. Even perfect price. I love Goodwill.

Guest Bathroom

I wanted to post the guest/kids bathroom. I love this bathroom. It is a small room but I love the decor and color we chose. I chose a dark chocolate truffle. I was wondering if it would close up the room but it didnt' at all. The shower curtain was the first purchase for the room. I loved the print. I am trying to decide if I should tell you where I purchased it. Maybe later. Keep the suspense going.
This is a painting that I had done a year or so ago. I added the "P" for Plemons. I realized that it was a little funny being in the bathroom. But it really stands for our last name and not the business of the room.
I found this wall iron hanging and thought it was perfect for the room. I think I got it at Big Lots.
These items are a serving tray that I painted. A canister that I got as a gift, my daughter's cute picture, and a few fun items.

Well, I suppose I will tell you where I got the shower curtain. I got it at ALDI!!! No kidding! I loved it and it was very inexpensive. I just love my chocolate bathroom!!!

My little Princess' room

This is my favorite room to have worked on. Having had 2 boys first and then finally my girl came along, I have waited and waited to have fun with the "girliness" and that she is-so girly! She does have say in a lot of things that I do. But she is always eager for whatever I do.

Her bed was given to us. It is so cute but needed a paint job. I used spray paint. It is so much easier that way. Turned out so sweet.
These cute faux lanterns were from Target for $2.00. (2 per pack) I really wanted green but no luck. They are very cute anyway. The stenciling on the wall is one of my favorite things in the room. The pink wall color was a free can from a freecycler. It was a full can! The stenciling breaks up all of that bright pink. I love it.
curtains over her closet are a green with white polka dot pattern. I basically folded them over and nailed them up. They are tied back and she may shut them whenever she wants. She has used this as a "stage" for performances. Or a hide a way from her brothers.
Her curtains are green. I used a curtain rod and tied pink, green and white ribbons to it and hunng it just above the curtain. Very simple. This butterfly is actually wings to a tinkerbell costume that was given to us. Matched her room perfectly.
This sign is just cute. I got it for her room when she was a baby. It came from Target. But that was 6 years ago. It hangs on the knob on her drawer.
There's my favorite room do over so far. Next I will show you our bathroom.
